Setup

This scene takes place at a Garden Party Hosted by a young, middle-class woman named Eleanora Thompson. A number of prestigious individuals have been invited including a certain Harold Weatherby, a young man with an important father. Lilian Green is Eleanora's servant, and the two have developed a strong bond due to their closeness in age. To get to this scene in the game, the player character, Rackharrow, must have made choices that put him in a favorable relationship with one or both of the girls. 

Rackharrow has only just arrived at the party and was searching for Lilian. He overheard some conversations between other partygoers about a "lucky serving girl" and an "important young man" who went out into the garden. He then chose to investigate the situation further.

Player choices are denoted specifically and have the line number of the response dialogue at the end of them.
